Please return your parent handbook by Friday, May 16 so they may be

MARIAN DAY CELEBRATION
Because Fr. Ed has been out of town, we have changed the date of
our Marian Day celebration to Friday, May 23.  We will begin in the
school gym at 2 pm reciting the rosary and process to the church for
the crowning of Mary.  Students will be learning about Our Lady of
Guadalupe.

REGISTRATION MATERIALS
Please complete all registration materials for next school year and
return as soon as possible.  Especially important is the sheet that
indicates how you will be paying for next year’s tuition.
Any outstanding tuition for this school year must be paid by June 6.
Thank you.

BOOK SALE
Each spring we have a used book sale.  Books are 25¢ each.  This
year the sale will be held May 20-23 in the school library.

HOME AND SCHOOL PICNIC
The final meeting for this year will be on Monday, May 19 at Freedom
Park.  A flyer has been sent by e-mail.  In case of rain, we will use the
church basement.

CONGRATULATIONS
The St. Joseph School Staff would like to congratulate the honor
students from Prescott High School.  Six of the students are graduates
of St. Joe’s.  They are:  Katelyn Schommer, Valedictorian; Brittany Hei,
Salutatorian; Zach Hei, Ben Krings, Pat Soberg, and Jake Langer,
Honor students.  Best wishes as you continue your education.

BELL MUSEUM SCHOLARSHIP
I received word that St. Joseph School has been awarded a $1,000.
Hugh J. Anderson Foundation’s Bell Museum Scholarship.  The Bell
Museum of Natural History is located on the University of Minnesota
campus.  We will be going on this field trip next fall.

MUSICAL
The students have been working hard rehearsing the musical, “Holy
Moses”. Our performances are next Tuesday, May 20, at 1:00 and 7:
00. The students should wear spring clothing. Jeans or shorts and t-
shirts are fine, remembering to follow the school modesty guidelines
(no tank tops or short shorts). Students may wear any footwear other
than flip-flops. Sandals with backs on or tennis shoes will work well. If
you have any questions about dress for the concert please contact
Mrs. Laust.

Cookies will be served following the evening performance.
